How the PlacePrep student and admin dashboards work: stat cards, score charts, attempt history and exam results explained.

Dashboard Overview

The dashboard is the signed-in home for students. It shows your progress, gives you quick access to every section of the platform, and is where you join exams from.

Navigation

The dashboard navigation links to:

On mobile, the bottom bar shows Dashboard, Profile, Placements, Learning, and Exams. Result and Join Exam are reachable from the dashboard page itself.

Overview Section

The /dashboard page contains, in order:
  1. Header — a welcome message with your name and a Join Exam button
  2. Stats — three cards: Exams Taken, Average Score, and Best Score
  3. Quick Actions — four cards: My Profile, Learn, Practice Questions, and Placements
  4. Course Progress — your progress through the Learn courses
  5. Recent Exams — your three most recent attempts, with a link to view all

Recent Exams

Each row shows the exam name, its status, whether you have a review request open, and a link to the result.

StatusMeaning
In ProgressYou started the exam and haven't submitted
SubmittedSubmitted, awaiting evaluation
Partially EvaluatedObjective questions are scored; coding questions are still being evaluated
EvaluatedFully graded — your final score is available

If an attempt is evaluated, you can open the Request Evaluation modal from here to ask for a re-check. See the Student Guide for the rules around review requests.

Exams Page

/dashboard/exams is the full history and analytics view.

Stat Cards

  • Attempts — how many exams you've taken
  • Average — your mean percentage
  • Best — your highest percentage
  • Lowest — your lowest percentage

Charts

ChartWhat it shows
Score TrendYour percentage across attempts, oldest to newest. Appears once you have at least two scored attempts. The header compares your recent average against your earlier average.
Score DistributionHow many of your attempts fell into the 0–39, 40–59, 60–79, and 80–100 bands, along with the share of attempts at 40% or above.
Attempt StatusA breakdown of your attempts by status.

All of this is computed from your own attempts only. There is no peer comparison, percentile, topic-wise breakdown, or per-question timing analysis.

All Attempts Table

Every attempt with its exam name, status, review status, date, score, percentage, and a link to the result page.

Exam Results

Individual results live at the exam's own result page, reachable from any attempt row. See the Student Guide for what appears there, including rank and the Review Answers page.

  • Refresh the page
  • Clear browser cache
  • Check your internet connection
  • Verify you're still signed in

Stats Not Updating

  • Wait a moment and refresh
  • Confirm your attempt was actually submitted
  • If the exam has coding questions, your score stays hidden until evaluation finishes

An Exam Is Missing

  • Exams are not listed publicly — you join them with an exam code from your admin
  • Attempts only appear here after you've started the exam
