PlacePrep is a free, independent project and is not currently registered as a company. As the Platform grows, the technologies we use may change, and we will update this page accordingly.

What are cookies

Essential cookies

These are required for the Platform to function and cannot be turned off.

• Session cookie (__session) — keeps you signed in. It is an httpOnly, secure cookie and holds your authentication session. Without it, you cannot log in or use protected features.

Analytics cookies and technologies

These help us understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it.

• PostHog — product analytics. It is configured to respect "Do Not Track", does not record sessions, and strips sensitive information (such as email, tokens, passwords, and registration numbers) before sending events.
• Vercel Analytics — privacy-friendly web analytics for page views.

Error monitoring

• Sentry — used for diagnosing errors. It may capture limited session information to help us fix bugs; text is masked and media is blocked.

Local storage

We use your browser's local storage to save certain preferences and configuration (for example, AI evaluation settings for admins). This data stays on your device.

What we do not track

We do not use analytics to track your exam answers, question content, passwords, tokens, Aadhaar number, contact numbers, or full registration numbers.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and using core features. Enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser will be respected by our analytics.
